Jefferson County Board of Education needs your help. We have 30 days
to fill the vacancy of Dean Taylor who passed away last Saturday, March

long as the process of seeking that replacement is occurring, the state
superintendent respects the process of 30 days and could adjust that

All interested parties should send a letter of intent and a resume.
The successful candidate should also be willing to sign the affidavit of
certification to be the person to fulfill Mr. Taylor’s term on the
board which ends November 2020.
The board voted unanimously March 24 to begin this process as
outlined in the Alabama Code. The deadline for these letters of intent
and the resume is by April 15, 2016 to the Board Office.
The only people having a vote in this replacement are the four remaining board members.
