Successful Instructional Leadership Practices that Work
Objective: To support new principals and principal mentors as they matriculate through a two-year mentoring process.
Outcomes
- Mentor principals will provide
modeling, guidance, coaching and encouragement in a one-on-one
relationship to inspire new principals to help build skills and
confidence.
- Mentor principals will ensure that
new principals have a clear set of priorities, focused on instructional
leadership and management of the learning organization.
Structure
- Meetings will be held once a month after Leadership Council Meeting.
- The content of the sessions will include Diversity, Climate/Culture, Curriculum Development and Monitoring, and Strategic Planning. Embedded in each session will be Ethics and Technology.
