JEFCOED’s Ex Ed Prom Delights More Than 350 Students

This is the image for the news article titled JEFCOED’s Ex Ed Prom Delights More Than 350 StudentsFor more than 25 years, exceptional education students have enjoyed a prom each spring. Band musicians play loud music, students dance, wheelchairs whirl and adults chaperones attending reminisce.
 
This years Razzamatazz’s Mike Webber on guitar and Henry Loboy on drums along with Ron and Ginger Barbee as vocalists, Dwight Anderson and Steve Scorey on saxophones, and John Taylor on trumpet entertained royally with music from the 1960s through the music of today.
 
The King and Queen crowned were both from Pinson Valley High and they were King Christopher Smith and Queen Quaclesha Ford.
 
A lunch of baked chicken, mashed potatoes, and green beans was prepared by special ed supervisors and served by the wait staff of Sheraton Hotel for all guests.
 
Treva Artemisi and Wanda Westbrook coordinated along with help from the entire JefCoEd special education department and Susan Wirt, director.
